Dr. Mulpuri is responsible for the strategic direction and the financial and operational performance of View. Under his leadership, View has developed ground breaking technology and products, and has achieved several milestones including launching the first commercial-scale dynamic glass product, building state-of-the-art manufacturing, and achieving rapid commercial growth. Prior to View Inc., Dr. Mulpuri held several executive positions at Novellus Systems, most recently as President of Novellus Systems Japan and Vice President and General Manager of the Integrated Metals Business Unit. He holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India, MS in Manufacturing Engineering, and Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Boston University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Dr. Mulpuri is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and the Urban Land Institute, and serves on the Board of Directors of Kateeva, Inc and the Advisory Board of the College of Engineering at Boston University.
Mr. Bammi is the Chief Business Officer at View Inc., and is responsible for leading the Business Operations & Strategy, Product Management, Product Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Marketing functions for View. Most recently, he was the Global Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Lumileds, where he helped double LED revenues to over $1 billion in four years. Mr. Bammi brings over 20 years of P&L, Product Management, Marketing, M&A, Strategy and Engineering experience from leading companies such as Lumileds, KLA-Tencor, Hynix Semiconductor, National Semiconductor and Motorola. Mr. Bammi holds an MBA from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller scholar. He also holds an MS in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, and a BE in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India.
Mr. Grier is the Senior Vice President of Operations at View Inc., and is responsible for the manufacturing and operations functions across the company. Most recently, Bob was VP of Engineering & Operations for Aquahydrex, Inc. an electrochemical technology company. Prior to this, he was the SVP of Operations at Abound Solar, and VP of Operations for Ampt LLC. Bob spent the first 25 years of his career with General Electric (GE) in their Nuclear Fuel and Silicones Product Businesses, across several engineering, manufacturing, Six Sigma and Business leadership roles in US and Europe. His last role at GE was GM of Manufacturing for six plant sites in North America comprised of 3,000 employees and $1.5B in Revenue. Bob holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Dr. Rozbicki is the Chief Technology Officer at View Inc., leading the technology team in the development of all aspects of electrochromic products. He is also responsible for all external technical collaborations at View Inc. Dr. Rozbicki’s career has focused on transitioning new deposition processes and equipment into production. He has 10 years of technology and project management experience, and was formerly Senior Director of Technology in HDP CVD Business and Director of Technology in PVD Business at Novellus Systems. Dr. Rozbicki holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from Boston University.
Mr. Mendenhall is Chief Customer Officer, responsible for driving all of View's customer-centric activities in the United States and Canada. Mr. Mendenhall has more than three decades of experience in the energy and electronics industries. Prior to joining View Inc. he was President, Americas at Trina Solar Limited, where he oversaw 50 percent growth in quarter-on-quarter revenue each year of his tenure and helped the company lead its sector in market share. Before that he was President, North America at SunEdison, Inc., where he lowered construction costs by 30 percent and developed a cash-flow tool for improved forecasting. Previously he was president and general manager at Elo TouchSystems and general manager at Circuit Protection, both divisions of Tyco, and director and general manager at Raychem. Mr. Mendenhall has a BS in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jeff Evenson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Corning, Inc. As a member of the 7-person Management Committee, Jeff has responsibilities including strategy implementation and special projects. Prior to joining Corning, Jeff was a senior sell-side analyst at Sanford Bernstein, where he was a consistent Institutional Investor All-Star in the Data Networking Sector. Prior to Corning, Jeff was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader in the technology strategy practice. During his career, Jeff has focused on strategy and finance for a broad range of technologies including data networking, smart grids, photonics, III-V semiconductors and drug discovery tools. Jeff holds an SB in Physics from MIT and a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow. His thesis addressed the interaction of light and matter.
Nigel Gormly is Head of International Direct Investment for the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, New Zealand’s sovereign wealth fund, based in Auckland. Nigel is primarily responsible for the Fund’s direct investments in energy, infrastructure and expansion capital as well as leading the Fund’s collaboration efforts with global investment partners. This includes holdings in many of the Fund’s largest investments including Z Energy, RetireAustralia and Horizon Roads as well as high growth companies including Bloom Energy, LanzaTech and Ogin Energy. Prior to joining the Super Fund Nigel spent 10 years with Fonterra, where he held a number of strategic development and commercial leadership roles, most recently as General Manager Commercial Ventures. Nigel’s early career was focussed on M&A and corporate finance advisory based in London, with assignments throughout Asia, Latin America and Europe. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Nigel has a BSc/BCom and a Graduate Diploma in Finance from the University of Auckland. He currently serves on the Board of LanzaTech and RetireAustralia.
Mr. Hambro joined First Solar in 2001, and as Chief Operating Officer, led the turnaround, startup, and growth efforts that culminated in First Solar becoming the preeminent company in the solar industry. After co-leading one of the most successful IPO’s of 2006, Mr. Hambro retired from First Solar in 2009. In April of 2012 Mr. Hambro joined First Solar as a member of their board of directors and continues to serve in that capacity. Mr. Hambro has extensive experience leading R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and general business aspects of Fortune 500 technology corporations, with particular emphasis on compound semiconductor based photonic devices. Prior to joining First Solar, he held positions of Vice President of Engineering & Business Development for Goodrich Aerospace, Vice President of Operations at ITT, and various technical management positions at Varian Associates. Mr. Hambro graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Science (Applied Physics).
Mr. Hughes brings more than 30 years of experience in the high technology industry, including service as a corporate officer in major multi-national companies. He has extensive experience in driving global commercialization of innovative technology-oriented products and has held key leadership positions in pioneering technology companies and brings broad financial, operating and business strategy credentials to View’s board. Mr. Hughes served as a director of Rambus Inc., a chip interface company from 2003 to 2012 and as its chief executive officer and president from 2005 to 2012, providing the overall vision and operational leadership necessary to drive growth. He started his career as a United States Army Officer before starting his private sector career at Intel. He held a variety of positions within Intel including treasurer, vice president of Intel Capital, chief financial officer and vice president of planning and logistics. Following his tenure at Intel, Hughes was the chairman and chief executive officer of Pandesic, LLC. He holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Tom Leppert has a distinguished record of accomplishment that has spanned managing companies in the role of CEO in a wide range of industries to leading a major US city as the elected Mayor. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan, Inc., a global multi-billion dollar educational services company; Chairman/CEO of The Turner Corporation, the nation’s largest general building company; Vice Chairman of Pacific Century Financial Corporation and its subsidiary, the Bank of Hawaii; CEO of Castle & Cooke Properties, Inc.; and National Partner at Trammell Crow Company. He began his career at McKinsey & Co. where he was elected a Principal of the firm. From 2007-2011, he was the elected Mayor of Dallas. He made the city a national focal point in the areas of public safety, economic development, education and the environment. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College He is a noted speaker and has appeared regularly in the media. He has been recognized as “CEO of the Year” by D Magazine, the “Texas Businessman of the Year” by the Texas Association of Business, and “The Global Cross Millennium Award for Corporate Environmental Leadership” from Global Green. He has also been inducted into the “Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame” and the “Dallas Business Hall of Fame”.
Tom Patterson is a Managing Partner at Madrone Capital Partners, a private investment firm located in Menlo Park, California. Mr. Patterson co-founded Madrone in 2005 and presently serves on the Boards of Barry-Wehmiller, Progress Financial, DMB Pacific, and Trumpet Behavioral Health. Prior to Madrone, Tom was a growth equity investor at Weston Presidio for eight years and a consultant at McKinsey & Company for four years. Tom holds an BA in History from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
