The Lake Union Building - Seattle, WA

The Lake Union Building, a 90,000 square foot building on the lake in Seattle, needed to be upgraded and modernized. Architects and designers choose View Dynamic Glass, the smart electrochromic glass that speaks to technology and helps connect the building and the occupants to the outside views. Before the installation, the heat of the sun was almost unbearable. The views of the lake were blocked with shades and/or blinds. Now with smart windows, there is no need for shades and/or blinds. The temperature is now more regulated and there's more natural light in all spaces with the glass automatically tinting in response to the sun and light. A 40% reduction in energy costs helps the building be eligible for LEED certification. Occupants can fully enjoy their workspaces along with the beauty of Seattle and the lake.
