NASA Sustainability Base chooses View Smart Glass

NASA Sustainability Base

Sustainability Base, NASA’s new facility at the entrance to Ames Research Center, is designed to showcase NASA’s culture of innovation. The LEED Platinum building is a thinking, learning building that generates more energy than it consumes using a photovoltaic array, a small wind turbine, and fuel cell technologies. Their latest innovation is the use of energy saving View Smart Windows in a pilot installation. The project will track both energy savings and improved occupant satisfaction with the long term objective of documenting and disseminating the benefits of electrochromic, intelligent glass across the federal building stock.
